Translation of “Second variety” by Philip K. Dick into russian: foreign language practical course

Zhuravlev A.P.

Abstract

This paper analyzes the translation of the story called “Second variety” by Philip K. Dick into Russian. The paper provides the analyses of various aspects that determine the quality of translation, particularly the proper application of lexical and grammatical transformations. The analysis of several parts of the story revealed a number of inadequate transformations (mostly additions and omissions) of the original text; as the result, there occurred some rough semantic mistakes in the translation. The results of the research are used to draw a conclusion that such misrepresentations occurred because of the obvious lack of the translator’s professional knowledge. The paper also points out the importance of written translation (as well as the analysis of a translation made by someone else) as some kind of students’ individual work that helps them master the foreign language they learn.

Сompetencies of future teachers in a multicultural educational space: migrant children and a modern school

Kuptsova M.V.

Abstract

The article is devoted to the competence of future teachers to work with migrant children. The changes in the ethnic composition of students taking place in the modern Russian school determined the appeal to the analysis of professional tasks, difficulties and professional requirements of teachers. The methodological idea of the article is the consideration of migrant children as a special educational category of students requiring special methods and technologies of pedagogical activity. The area of application of the results is the pedagogical process of training future primary school teachers in the system of higher professional pedagogical education. Currently, the education system does not adequately meet the current demographic situation in the context of multicultural education: a significant increase in the number of migrant children in schools actualizes the study of ethno-pedagogical competencies of teachers in a multicultural educational environment. Teachers play a key role in the process of social adaptation of a child from a migrant family, but the problem of professional training of teachers to work with migrant children remains open. The revealed ethno-pedagogical nature of the problems, the necessary knowledge, the specifics of the content of the activity in solving the tasks of educational, socio-psychological and cultural adaptation of migrant children allowed us to conclude that the result of training teachers to work with migrant children is the formation of their ethno-pedagogical competence.

Etymology of names and phraseology in the serbian fair puppet theater "Kuku Todor"

Vucenovic A.

Abstract

The Serbian comic hero of folk puppet fair performances "Kuku Todor" has an interesting relationship with the semantics of words and phraseology of the Serbian language. In this work, an attempt is made to deal with the etymology of the name Kuku Todor. Todor is a character whose main characteristics are stupidity and cunning, frivolity and impulsiveness. The author comes to the conclusion that the uniqueness and observance of the tradition of the visual in the performances of this genre also affects the uniqueness of the consequences in the linguistic environment of the people where they appear. "Kuku Todor" is one of the few puppet shows in Serbia, which is interesting, original, uniquely connected with the phraseology of the Serbian language. The name of the protagonist of this performance is based on the holiday “Horse Easter”, and funeral lamentations, and colloquial exclamations, and a parallel with the Russian Fyodor Stratilat. Thus, a peculiar cyclicity arises in the language. The cause becomes the effect, and the effect becomes the cause. The cyclicity in the dramaturgy of this performance, as well as the cyclicity in the mise-en-scene of puppets in a screen-cabin, is also manifested in the language itself. This cyclicality is taken as the principle of constructing the performance. It is taken from the very nature of the relationship between life and death. More precisely, in the course of the ritual sacred rite, among other things, lamentations appeared, which became an integral part of the performance and returned to speech in a new, more common form.

Antinomies of russian traditional culture in D. Mizgulin's poetry book «Po kromke bytiya» ("On the edge of being")

Dudareva M.A., Aripova D.A.

Abstract

The object of the article is antinomy in Russian artistic culture, which manifested itself in the main oppositions: “up” and “down”, “male” and “female”, “living” and “dead”. The subject of the research is the variations of the fundamental principles with ambivalent semantics in modern poetry. The material for the article is a new poetic book by the modern writer D. Mizgulin "Along the Edge of Being". At the center of cultural-philosophical and onto-hermeneutical analysis is the interaction of the phenomenal and the noumenal, the rational and the metaphysical in poetry. Much attention is paid to the problem of the metaphysics of creativity, its apophatic side in the Russian cosmo-psycho-logos, which is of great importance for understanding the ontological issues of writers' creativity. The research methodology is reduced to a holistic hermeneutic analysis aimed at highlighting the cultural potential of this poetic book, studying the axiological and ontological value of antinomies in modern verbal culture. Much attention is paid to the comparison of poems within the book, the analysis of its structure, as well as the national topic, without talking about which it is impossible to perceive Russian literature in a holistic way. The results of the work may be of interest to literary historians, who include literature in the space of a large dialogue of cultures, and can also be used in teaching courses in cultural studies and Russian philosophy.

Communicative and axiological approach in the implementation of musical and theater creativity

Kireeva N.Y.

Abstract

The object of research — musical theatricalization, acting as a genre class, which has stable and mobile genre features (the axial are musical and theatrical beginning, the synthesis of which may appear in different forms, changing the ratio of musical and theatrical means of expression); subject — communicative-axiological aspects of the implementation of musical and theatrical creativity; purpose — development of communicative-axiological approach to the study of musical theatricalization. Methodological approaches used in the study: conceptual, systematic, integrated. Scientific novelty is due to the introduction of an original methodology, allowing a new approach to the study of the phenomena of musical theatricalization, both past and present. Communicative-axiological approach is based on the conjugation of the concepts of communicative and axiological approaches in the same research field. The totality of research methods leads to the study of certain communicative situations in which, as a result of the interaction of communicants in the aesthetic and socio-cultural space there is a transfer of information from one subject to another and the field of different values, due to social, professional and personal factors is formed. Communicative-axiological approach implies a comprehensive study of the phenomena of creative activity, focused on identifying aesthetic and anthropological value. The approach unfolds within the receptive dialogic paradigm, according to which in the process of realization of musical theatricalization there is perception of the figurative plan of events of a specific situation and simultaneously processing and translation of the already updated content. In this way, «effective experience» is carried out and initially subjective meanings penetrate into intersubjective space, thereby determining the process of formation of the value orientations of the individual.

The phenomenon of success in the context of the russian media discourse (using the example of glossy magazines)

Kuznetsova Y.V., Kuznetsova A.S.

Abstract

Currently, in the humanities (philosophy, cultural studies, psychology, sociology, linguistics, etc.), the study of the phenomenon of success, which has a complex, multifaceted structure and is of interest from the point of view of revealing the value foundations of both an individual and society as a whole, is of particular relevance In the sphere of modern mass culture, in particular in the media space, there is an active formation and broadcasting of symbols of success, which, in fact, is the imposition of certain, often mentally alien to Russian consciousness and culture, value orientations. Metaphysics of the scream in the sound picture of the world of the twentieth century

Loginova M.V.

Abstract

The formation of metaphysics in the twentieth century is associated with the response to the challenges of modernity, with the posing of problems of changing cultural context and the new picture of the world. Scream as a human expression attracts researchers' attention not only by the limit of its expressiveness, but also by the fact that it belongs to the sound picture of the world. The ontological approach in treating the scream as a form of human expression, a "point" of the meeting of being and man through expressiveness, is the main one. The author builds the logic of the analysis of the metaphysics of the cry: the definition of the sound picture of the world as a value-semantic model and the meaning of the voice as a means of communication; the substantiation of the connection of the phenomenon of the cry with expressionism; the analysis of the conceptual approaches of J. Deleuze, J. Derrida, V.A. Podoroga, M.M. Shemyakin, etc, defining the scream as a special human condition in the world, expressing the tension of fracture, break, shift, deformation, defamiliarization; revealing the narrative nature of the scream as the formation of expressive meaning (series "Scream", E. Munch), (series "Screaming Dad", F. Bacon); justifying the metaphysics of the scream as silence, in which sound becomes aphonic. The author concludes that in the sound picture of the world of the twentieth century there is a semantic convergence of the theory of expressiveness (expression) and the metaphysics of sound (voice).

Adaptation of youth in the space of contemporary theatrical art

Oleynikova M.V.

Abstract

In modern studies of the theater, its social function is noticeably highlighted. The democratic nature of the theatrical atmosphere, the response of theatrical art to the most acute problems of today determine the importance of this type of artistic activity in the life of society. The theater educates the young spectator spiritually and morally, offers a social ideal that young people look up to, although they do not always realize this when watching the stage action from the audience. Participation in theatrical productions, mastering the world through stage reincarnation gives much more opportunities to "try on" the social roles of heroes of the past and present, to feel moral issues and choose your own path to a bright ideal. The author of the article analyzes the works of researchers in the field of the potential of modern theatrical art as an instrument of social adaptation of young people. Through the prism of the concept of the problem, which has a unique style in the theaters of Luhansk region preserved by the faithful to the Soviet classics, it is shown.

Viola in the Russian musical art of the second half of the twentieth century: works by composers of the Moscow advance-guard

Radzetskaya M.D.

Abstract

In the Russian musical art of the second half of the XX century, compositions for viola were a reflection of the cultural processes of modern society and its thinking practices, a radical turn towards previously unexplored artistic territories. The formation of a new sound environment and its aesthetic settings significantly influenced the formation of traditional and experimental facets of the viola repertoire. Each of them has its own emotional color and a range of images, vividly and powerfully embodied by the technical arsenal of the viola and the variety of its timbre means. Due to the unprecedented rise of the performing arts, the appearance of a whole galaxy of outstanding performers, in the second half of the XX century. There is great interest in the instrument among innovative composers, bright representatives of the Soviet avant-garde. This trend turns out to be, in many ways, a succession. Starting with the music of N.A. Roslavets, continuing in the works of A.M. Volkonsky and further, S.A. Gubaidulina, E.V. Denisov, A.G. Schnittke («Moscow Troika”), asserts the solo status of the viola and its ability to convey subtle nuances of psychological states, the depth of creative intent, to accumulate a space of high mental tension around itself. In concert and symphonic genres, in chamber music, real discoveries occur, which have become symbols of the epoch, its landmark events. Thus, an organic relationship of the composer's generations is established, which is not interrupted to the present day.
