On the continuous dependence of the solution of a boundary value problem on boundary conditions. Elements of p-regularity theory

Medak B., Tret’yakov A.A.

Abstract

The problem of the existence of a continuous dependence of the solution of a boundary value problem on a parameter is considered. In this paper, it is proved that, in the presence of the p-regularity property, there exists a solution that continuously depends on a small parameter. The main result of the paper is based on theorems representing different versions of the implicit function theorem. In the case of degenerate mappings, the theorems are used to analyze a boundary value problem with a small parameter. In the case of absolute degeneration, a -p-factor operator is found. The concept of the p-kernel of the operator is introduced, as well as the left and right inverse operators. Theorems are formulated that are special versions of the generalized Lyusternik theorem and the implicit function theorem in the degenerate case. An implicit function theorem is formulated and proved in the case of a nontrivial kernel.

On the problem of condensation onto compacta

Osipov A.V., Pytkeev E.G.

Abstract

The paper proves (assuming the continuum hypothesis CH) that there exists a perfectly normal compact topological space Z and a countable set EZ, such that Z\E is not condensed onto a compact. The existence of such a space answers (in CH) negatively to the question of V.I. Ponomareva: Is every perfectly normal compact an α-space? It is proved that in the class of ordered compacts the property of being an α-space is not multiplicative.

The existence theorem for weak solution of optimal feedback control problem for the modified Kelvin-Voigt model of weakly concentrated aqueous polymer solutions

Plotnikov P.I., Turbin M.V., Ustiuzhaninova A.S.

Abstract

In this paper the existence theorem on weak solution of the optimal feedback control problem for the modified Kelvin-Voigt model of weakly concentrated aqueous polymer solutions. The proof is carried out on the basis of an approximation-topological approach to the study of fluid dynamic problems. At the first step, the considered feedback control problem is interpreted as an operator inclusion with a multi-valued right-hand side. In the second step, the resulting inclusion is approximated by an operator inclusion with better properties. Then, on the basis of a priori estimates of solutions and the degree theory of a class of multi-valued mappings, the existence of solutions for this inclusion is proved. In the third step, it is shown that from the sequence of solutions of the approximation inclusion one can extract a subsequence that converges weakly to the solution of the original inclusion. Then it is proved that among the solutions of the considered problem there is a solution that gives a minimum to a given quality functional.

Influence of surface effects on the bending and buckling of nanowires

Ilgamov M.A.

Abstract

The static bending and longitudinal stability of nanowires under liquid or gas pressure are considered. Two surface effects are taken into account. The first is due to the difference in elastic properties in the thin surface layer and in the bulk of the material. Effective tensile and flexural stiffness can be more or less than conventional stiffness, depending on the material. The second effect is due to the interaction of excess pressure on the circular side surface of the wire and the difference of the areas of the convex and concave sides of the surface that appears during bending. This effect is manifested the stronger, the greater the ratio of pressure to the modulus of elasticity of the material and the length of the wire to its diameter. These effects are determined by dimensionless parameters. It has been established that a loss of wire stability may occur under the influence of the second effect. A possible method for determining the dimensionless parameter, which determines the differences of elastic properties in a thin layer near the surface and the base material, is proposed.

Deflagration-to-detonation transition in air mixtures of polypropylene pyrolysis products

Frolov S.M., Zvegintsev V.I., Aksenov V.S., Bilera I.V., Kazachenko M.V., Shamshin I.O., Gusev P.A., Belotserkovskaya M.S.

Abstract

A new method for determining the detonability of fuel is proposed based on the measured values of the detonation run-up distance and time in the standard pulsed detonation tube (PDT). Granulated polypropylene (GP) was used as a fuel. A test bench with the PDT and a gas generator was designed and manufactured for the preparation of the GP pyrolysis products at a decomposition temperature of up to 800 °C. Experiments on deflagration-to-detonation transition in air mixtures of pyrolysis products of the GP showed that such mixtures exhibit detonability close to that of liquefied hydrocarbon gas (LPG) of the propane-butane automobile brand in a stoichiometric mixture with air under normal conditions.

The first data about the structure and mineral composition of the ores of the Tarakon potential gold ore field (the Far East of Russia)

Buchko I.V.

Abstract

The obtained original materials, in conjunction with the literature data (hydrochemical contrasting halos), make it possible to predict a new (Tarakonsky) gold ore field within the eastern part of the Argun superterrane. Industrial concentrations of gold are noted in quartz metasomatites from granites and limestones. The amount of ore minerals usually does not exceed 5-10%. They are present in the rocks in micron and submicron size, represented mainly by pyrite, less often galena, sphalerite, chalcopyrite, ilmenite, hematite, magnetite, faded ores, and native high-grade gold. It is assumed that the formation of the Tarakonsky gold ore field, as well as most of the ore objects in the region, is associated with the manifestation of Late Mesozoic magmatism.

The first results of U-Pb datings of detrital zircons from the basal deposits of the Upper Precambrian of the Subpolar Urals

Pystin А.M., Pystina Y.I., Hubanov V.B.

Abstract

In the north of the Timan-Ural region, in contrast to its southern regions, there are no Lower Riphean deposits. The question of the presence of Middle Riphean stratons here remains open, since their age is accepted conditionally. In the Subpolar Urals, the Puiva Formation, which lies at the base of the Upper Precambrian section of this region, belongs to the Middle Riphean. The first U-Pb results of the LA-SF-ICP-MS dating of detrital zircons from terrigenous deposits of the Puiva Formation give reason to limit the lower age interval of their formation abroad about 900 million years ago. The obtained dating of the detrital zircons of their obviously basal terrigenous sediments for the Timan-Northern Ural Upper Precambrian, taking into account already available data on the age of the Upper Precambrian strata of this region, indicate that the lower age limit of the Timan continental margin of the Baltic is close to the boundary of the Middle and Late Riphean.

Isotopic composition of water of salt lakes in Eastern Transbaikalia

Borzenkо S.V.

Abstract

The isotope composition of the natural waters of the Eastern Transbaikalia is studied. It is established that the water of the soda lakes is more enriched with oxygen-18, but in smaller - with deuterium. It is shown that the enrichment of the waters of salt lakes with heavy isotopes is due not only to the evaporation process, but to the interaction of water with the rock. The participation of the reactions of hydrolysis of alumosilicates in the fractionation of oxygen is confirmed by the direct dependence of the magnitude of the oxygen shift on pH, the value of which depends on the degree of such interaction.

Paleogeography of the Bazhenov formation of West Siberia according to the distribution of rare earth elements

Ivanov K.S., Volkov V.A., Vakhrusheva N.V.

Abstract

The Bazhenov formation is presented by the Late Jurassic black shales. Russia is on the first place on the reserves of “shale oil” that is mostly connected with the Bazhenov formation. For the reconstructions of sedimentation environments of the main types of the formation rocks the REE distributions have been used. The results point out to the formation of the Bazhenov deposits in relatively shallow environments - within the limits of inner and outer shelf of the epicontinental sea, the type of the Kara or East-Siberian Sea, relatively deep-water part of which is located north of the Latitudinal Priobye. These results confirm some previous estimates, but have been obtained on the base of quite different independent data. The geochemical study of different types of rocks of the Bazhenov formation gave the identical results that testify in favor of reliability of the results obtained.

Abstract

This study presents the first data set of sulfurisotope compositions of primary Ru-Os sulfides, represented by laurite (RuS2) - erlichmanite (OsS2) series, within a primary platinum-group mineral (PGM) assemblage derived from the Verkh-Neivinsky dunite-harzburgite massif, a typical example of the mantle ophiolite association at the Middle Urals. The S-isotope signatures of Ru-Os sulfides studied are consistent with derivation of the ore material from a mantle source for Ru-Os sulfides.

The first discovery of oxyborates in the rocks of the Norilsk-1 intrusion (northwest of the Siberian platform)

Shevko A.Y., Kalugin V.M., Gora M.P., Karmanov N.S.

Abstract

We found five boron minerals in the taxitic gabbrodolerites near the upper contact of the Norilsk-1 ore-bearing intrusion. These are kotoite Mg3(BO3)2, suanite Mg2B2O5, warwickite (Mg,Ti,Fe,Cr,Al)2O(BO3), ludwigite (Mg)2Fe3+O2(BO3), and azoproite (Mg,Fe2+)2(Fe3+,Ti,Mg)O2(BO3). This is the first discovery of oxyborate minerals in the Norilsk province. They form monomineral and polymineral inclusions in olivine grains from the recrystallized areas of the taxitic intrusive rocks. Boron minerals arose at the late stage of the magma crystallization or just after that as a result of the interaction of the rock with the boron-bearing fluid containing in the ore-bearing magma. Presence of the micro inclusions of the oxyborates as well as higher boron content in rocks can be used as a criterion for searching of the Pt-Cu-Ni-bearing intrusions in the Norilsk province.

Geomagnetic effect of earthquakes

Spivak A.A., Riabova S.A.

Abstract

Based on the results of instrumental observations carried out at a number of mid-latitude observatories of the INTERMAGNET network and at the Mikhnevo Geophysical Observatory of Institute of Geosphere Dynamics of Russian Academy of Sciences, it is shown that strong earthquakes are accompanied by increased variations of Earth’s magnetic field. In this case, the short-period stage (period ~ 0.5-0.8 min) and long-period stage (period ~ 5-20 min) of increased geomagnetic variations are clearly distinguished. The maximum amplitude of induced geomagnetic variations is 1.5-2 nT and 2- 4 nT, respectively, for short-period and long-period variations. A similar in morphology and almost synchronous nature of the induced geomagnetic disturbances at the observatories located at significantly different distances from the earthquake source is noted.

On the effect of circulatory flow around objects in marine medium and atmosphere

Korchagin N.N., Vladimirov I.Y.

Abstract

Analytical expressions of the hydrodynamic reaction of a point dipole in two-layer circulatory fluid flow around it are obtained. The dependence of the wave resistance and the lift force on the flow velocity, the density jump, the circulation and the depth of the sea is investigated. It is shown that the influence of the velocity circulation leads to a change in the lift force acting on the dipole. Moreover, such changes are reversible in a relatively narrow range of the velocity of flow around the pipeline. Along with the pipeline, such features in the nature of the effect of circulation on the lift force can be manifested for self-propelled underwater objects and aerial vehicles.

Protein-partners of selenoprotein SELM and the role of selenium compounds in regulation of its expression in human cancer cells

Varlamova E.G., Goltyaev M.V., Fesenko E.E.

Abstract

The search of potential partners of human SELM in lysates of two cancer cell lines HT-1080 (fibrosarcoma) and MCF-7 (breast adenocarcinoma) was carried out. Two cytoplasmic actin isoforms: cytoplasmic actin 1 (cytoskeleton b-actin) and cytoplasmic actin 2 (cytoskeletal g-actin) was identified as partners. In addition, the influence of two widely used antitumor selenium compounds (sodium selenite and methylseleninic acid) on the expression SELM in cancer cells was studied. According to the results obtained by real-time PCR and Western blotting, we was concluded that 1 µM and 10 µM sodium selenite was not affected on the expression SELM in fibrosarcoma cells, whereas in breast adenocarcinoma cells 1 µM sodium selenite slightly increased of expression and 10 µM resulted in a significant decrease (about 2 times). Methylseleninic acid in both cancer cell lines increased the expression of SELM gene, the most pronounced effect was observed when fibrosarcoma cells were treated with 10 µM MSC (increased expression of the hSelm gene by almost 4 times).

Abstract

Using Fura-2AM microfluorimetry we have shown for the first time that sigma-1 receptor agonist - tricyclic antidepressant amitriptyline - significantly inhibits store-dependent Ca2+ entry, induced by endoplasmic Ca2+-ATPase inhibitors thapsigargin and cyclopiazonic acid, in rat peritoneal macrophages. The results suggest possible involvement of sigma-1 receptors in the regulation of store-dependent Ca2+ entry in macrophages.

An approach to better estimation of the intial velocity of enzyme reactions

Malygina N.M., Petrova T.A., Lianguzov A.Y., Ivanov A.M.

Abstract

A new algorithm for computation of initial velocity of enzyme reaction at the time zero is proposed. This algorithm makes it possible to reduce systematic error of measurements to the minimum, to estimate reaction velocity in testing samples regardless of the enzyme activity levels and to minimize assay time. The study is illustrated by an example of salivary alpha-amylase and standard reagent kit. The algorithm should not be applied if conjugated enzyme systems are used because there is a long initial lag-phase in the kinetic curve.
