Application of antibiotic resistance markers at selection allows receive strains possessing improved probiotic value. However doctors are anxious by the fact that some cases were registered when the antibiotic resistance factor was transferred from probiotic cultures to pathogenic microflora. Approaches to the safe application of antibiotic resistance markers for receiving natural recombinants of industrially valuable cultures of lactic acid microorganisms are considered.
