The lecture covers contemporary methods of classification, diagnostics and treatment of sleep disorders in general practice.

Results of pharmacoepidemiological study of hospital treatment of deep vein thrombosis are represented in the article. The structure of drug administration and consumption were studied with ATC/DDD methods provided by the WHO. Unsatisfactory prescription and consumption of abortive medicines in the treatment of deep vein thrombosis was revealed.

We present a study of quality of life in disabled students. Gender-related difference in the individual's perception of different aspects in their life are discussed.

Chemical-induced hepatic fibrosis was induced with carbon tetrachloride and ethanol. The observed changes in histochemical profile of hepatic tissue indicate metabolic changes in hepatocytes in the direction of strengthening of aerobic glycolysis processes.

We studied polymorphism of promoter region of hemostasis genes (MTHFR 677 C-T, F5 G1691A, F2 202010 G-A, FGB -455 G-A) in 120 patients undergoing hemodialysis program. It was found that the development of vascular access thrombosis is associated with the structural features of genes of hemostatic system MTHFR 677 C-T, F2 202010 G-A, FGB -455 G-A.

This article discusses present-day approaches to surgical treatment of lumbar spine degenerative disease using minimally invasive technologies.

This article presents the experience of surgical treatment of 182 patients with calculous cholecystitis. Technical aspects and the efficiency of three minimally invasive techniques: a transumbilical endoscopic access (TUES), single laparoscopic access with troacaric support («SILS+») and combined minilaparoscopic technologies are presented in this article. Immediate outcomes of these operations were analyzed.

Adequately selected insulin therapy is considered to be one of essential points in improving the patients' quality of life. We suggest approaches to tactical use of insulin depending on the type of drug, the age of the child based on our clinical experience.

Nowadays we observe an increase in the number and gravity of combined traumatic injuries; their most common complications are the syndrome of acute stomach and duodenal injury. In order to verify the frequency of development and gravity of lesion in the gastroduodenal mucosal layer zone in patients with different traumatic shock severity, we have undertaken a prospective study analyzing treatment outcomes in 135 cases. Early diagnosing of pathological changes in the gastroduodenal mucosal layer zone, usage of various methods for stress-damage prophylaxis in the stomach and duodenum leads to an evident decrease in complications upon traumatic disease.

The composition of phenol compounds of the overground part of Conyza canadensis L. growing on the territory of the Volgograd region has been investigated by means of highly effective liquid chromatography The phenol carbonic acids (gallic acid), hydroxycinnamic acids (isoferulic, ferulic, chlorogenic, chicoric, chlorogenic and cinnamic acids); 4 flavonoids (lyuteolin, lyuteolin-7-glicozide, rutin, dihydroquercetine), coumarins (dihydrocoumarin, o-methoxycoumarin) as well as tannins (tannin, catechine, epicatechine) were identified. It was established by the method of internal normalization that isoferulic acid prevailed among the hydroxycinnamic acids; rutin prevailed among flavonoid compounds.

Dental status of patients with disorders of microbial composition of the oral cavity was studied. The participation of the microflora in the genesis of dental disease, including degradation processes of hard dental and periodontal tissues was confirmed.

Starting therapy with low doses of fluticasone propionate in children under 5 with uncontrolled asthma resulted in 12 weeks of control in more patients (with reliability p = 0,026) in comparison with montelukast after 24 weeks of therapy

Echocardiographic study of athletes with connective tissue dysplasia of heart in the form of mitral valve prolapse and false chords of the left ventricle was conducted. It was established that connective tissue dysplasia has no effect on the process of development of structural changes of heart upon adaptation to regular physical activities.

Based on the estimates of the heart rate variability (HRV) the risk of paroxysm development in spinal anesthesia (SA) in older patients with concomitant cardiac disease (CIHD, AH) during the one-stage prostatectomy was established. An analysis of SDI and HRV parameters in real time revealed initial sympathicotony; thus medicamntous prevention of AF has a greater effect in the prevention of TSR or when the latter is absent.

An assessment of the safety of VMA-99-82 compound was made as to its acute toxicity upon intragastric administration to mice and rats. Taking into account the dynamics of development of clinical signs of poisoning and rehabilitation as well as body mass changes, one can conclude that the compound has good absorption from the gastrointestinal tract and a relatively fast excretion from the body; thus the compound can be classified as low toxic.

The dry extract from Scutellaria baicalensis at a dose of 300 mg/kg body weight and its complex of inclusion with 2-hydroxypropyl-β-cyclodextrin at a dose of 15 mg/kg weight have an equivalent and more marked nephroprotective action compared with the standard medicine «Urokam» in toxic damage of kidney by mercury (II) chloride in rats.

The possibility of predicting toxic properties of physiologically active substances in humans with the use of human and animal lymphocyte cultures is discussed. On the basis of experimental data we obtained mathematical prediction models for toxicity of test compounds to humans.

The effects of Allokin-alfa were studied as a stimulator of leucopoesis in patients with chronic viral hepatitis B and C accompanied with interferon induced leucopenia. It is determined that when Allokin-alfa is used in complex therapy it decreases leucopenia and neutropenia and the number of leucocytes and segmented neutrophils (р < 0,05) increases. Thus, it is proved Allokin-alfa has a positive effect on stimulation of leucopoesis and improves the results of analysis in leucopenia in patients with chronic viral hepatitis B and C.

The maintenance of C-reactive protein in blood serum of patients operated concerning infectious endocarditis is studied. It is shown that the C-reactive protein reflects activity of an infectious endocarditis. Dynamic overseeing by level of C-reactive protein allows prognosticating flow of the postoperative season and an outcome of surgical treatment of an infectious endocarditis.
