About damage to female genital organs during sexual intercourse. From clinical lectures read to Students of Kazan University
Abstract
Taking this opportunity, having encountered fresh damage to the sleeve during sexual intercourse, I am in a real time, Mm. Yy., I will examine the question of damages of female genital organs during sexual intercourse. This question has not only a purely special gynecological significance, but also has an equally important forensic significance.
Differential recognition of echinococcus and other pouch formations of the female genital area
Abstract
Cystoid tumors of the abdominal cavity, developed in one or another part of the female genital apparatus, sometimes give such a peculiar topographic relationship to the surrounding adjacent organs and present such pathological, anatomical, physical and chemical properties that seriously hinder the statement. Without dwelling on the generally known signs of mosquito tumors of the abdominal cavity in general, and in particular, on the distinctive signs of single-chamber and multi-cavity cysts, ovarian, parovarial and intraligamentary, I will allow myself to go directly to the question of interest to us.
On the issue of surgical intervention for hydronephrosis
Abstract
Despite the fact that the clinical history and operative treatment of hydronephrosis belong to the so-called brilliant period of abdominal surgery, which came from the time of the introduction of antiseptics and asepsis, however, no indication or differential methods of diagnostics in perfection, which we see, for example, with the treatment of brushes and other tumors of the genital area.
A case of congenital absence of eyeballs. (Anophthalmia duplex congenita auctorum)
Abstract
The congenital absence of eyeballs belongs to the most difficult, but, fortunately, very rare deformities in the development of the eye. People who were born "without eyes" are described by the authors back in the 16th century (Martinus Weinrichius) and others.) In the literature of 30-93 years of the current century, we find a significant number of cases of congenital absence of one or both eyes. Almost all cases related to the literature of this time are described by ophthalmologists and in most cases were observed in fully developed infants or even adult subjects, no deviation from the normal structure of their body in any other relationships that did not represent. In older (before the 30s) literature, we most often find references to anophthalmia congenita as one of the many abnormalities in an ugly fetus.

From the meeting of the Council of Doctors of the Kazan Provincial Zemsky Hospital on March 15 and 29, 1894
Abstract
The resident of the Gynecological Department of the hospital I. M. Lvov showed the following drugs:
1) A huge proliferating cyst of the left ovary with thick colloidal contents, removed by him at 47 years old, a very emaciated patient, with the help of a womb. The interest of the case consisted in the following: the patient was extremely emaciated; the cyst grew during the year. During the operation, it turned out that the cyst had ruptures, and its contents — a jelly-like yellowish colloidal mass — poured into the peritoneal cavity. The peritoneum itself, both parietal and visceral, presented a complete picture of colloidal degeneration — it was strewn with small bubbles with thick colloidal contents. There was no dropsy in the abdomen. Postoperative period without complications, the patient recovered.
Hochstetter. Ueber Harnleiterscheidenfisteln. (Archiv für Gynaecologie, Bd. 45, Hft. 1, S. 107). About ureter-vaginal fistulas
Abstract
Ureterovaginal fistulas became known in the middle of this century and Simon was the first to describe such a fistula. Since then, according to Hochstetler, 39 cases have been described. In 23 - the cause of the fistula was difficult childbirth, in 10 - complete uterine dissection, in the rest, it was pelvic abscesses, then prolonged wearing of a pesary, etc.
Robert Müllerheim. Die Symphyseotomie. (Volkmann's Sammlung klinischer Vorträge, No. 91, 1894). Symphysiotomy
Abstract
The author set himself the task of examining all objections to symphysiotomy and determining what place in obstetrics should be allocated to this operation.
The mobility of the pelvic joints has been proven by many studies, and now it can hardly be denied. However, in view of the large difference in judgments about the frequencies and the degree of this mobility, the author tried to make up his own opinion on this matter.
Hermann Löhlein. Zur Frage von der Entstehung der puerperalen Osteomalakie. (Centralblatt für Gynäkologie, No. 1, 1894). On the question of the origin of osteomalacia
Abstract
In view of Kehrer’s statement about the parasitic origin of osteomalacia, which met with sympathy from some gynecologists, the author, in one case of this disease presented to him, made a bacteriological study and received a negative result of the extracted bone.
Krönig. Scheidensecretuntersuchungen bei 100 Schwangeren. Aseptik in der Geburtshilfe. (Centralblatt für Gynäkologie, No. 1, 1894). Study of the secret of the sleeve in 100 pregnant women. Asepsis in obstetrics
Abstract
In view of the abrupt contradiction of the frequent finding of staphylococcus pyogenes albus in the vagina of pregnant women, and the extremely rare finding of it in childbirth fever, the author raises the question whether the previous opinion was not the result of our constantly being examined by this almost constantly on the surface of the body.
Döderlein. Die Scheidensecretuntersuchungen. (Centralblatt für gynäkologie, No. I, 1894). Examination of vaginal secretions
Abstract
In the beginning, D. is reviewing the results of studies by Burguburu, Williams, and Burckhardt. These results are quite similar to those presented by the author in his monograph “Vaginal secretion and its significance in the development of puerperal fever”. Then D. proceeds to the analysis of the above article by Krönig. The last day about the constant acidity of the vaginal secretion (which does not agree with the research of Döderlin and others) he explains by the property of the applied sensitive reactive papers, as well as by the amphoteric reaction.
Woerz. Eine Missbildung mit Amniosnabel, Ektopie der Blase, Symphysenspalt und Spina bifida. (Centralblatt für Gynäkologie, No. I, 1894). Vicious development with amniotic navel, ectopia of the urinary bladder, splitting of the symphysis and spina bifida
Abstract
In the clinic prof. Schaut'y healthy woman, who already had 2 healthy children, gave birth to an 8 month old boy with the following developmental defects. At the bottom of the abdomen, first of all, an amnotic navel, the size of a pigeon's egg, was observed; through the thin membrane of the navel it was possible to clearly see the intestinal loop.
Pagenstecher. Eine feste Stütze zu dem Sänger’schen und anderen beweglichen Beinhaltern. (Centralblatt für Gynekologie, No. 2, 1894). Strong support for movable foot holders Sänger'a and others
Abstract
The author notes the following shortcomings of commonly used leg holders:
1) Pressure on the lower abdomen, sometimes produced by the transverse connecting bar of the leg holder.
2) Possibility of lateral movements of the patient, during the operation.
Bensinger. Schambeinschnitt ohne Knochennaht. (Centralblatt für Gynäkologie, No. 7, 1894). Symphysiotomy without bone suture
Abstract
The author describes a case of symphysisotomy, without the use of a bone suture, which proceeded completely safely.
The lig was not cut during the operation lig. arcuatum, but when the child was removed, it ruptured and the edges of the pubic bones parted to 6 cm. The child was extracted with forceps, alive. On the wound, 5 sutures were placed on the fascia and on the soft part, and anodoform drainage was carried out into the lower corner of the wound.
J. Thorn. Zur Kasuistik der Uterussteine. (Zeitsclir. F. Geburtsh. Und Gynaek., Bd. XXVIII, H. 1, S. 74). To the casuistry of uterine stones
Abstract
Mrs. N., 55 years old, was always healthy, gave birth to her fifth and last child in 1873. The birth was always correct. In 1886, the regulations ceased; in 1891 they reappeared, but extremely wrong. At the same time, the patient began to suffer from copious pains. In the spring of 1892, excruciating, cramping, pains joined this, became even more and were stained with blood.
N. Heuck. Ein neuer Fall von Luftembolie bei Placenta praevia. (Zeitschr. F. Geburtsh. U. Gynäk. Bd. XXVIII, H. 1, S. 140). New case of air embolism on presentation after presentation
Abstract
Olshausen's hypothesis that sudden death on turn, in the case of presentation after, may be, depending on air embolism, was confirmed by Kramer and Krukenberg. The same case was observed at the Berlin University Hospital and Heuck.
Arendt. Ueber operative Behandlung chronisch entründlicher Gebärmutteranhänge. (Berl. Klin. Wochensch., Nos. 10 and 11, 1894). The volume of operative treatment of chronically inflamed uterine appendages
Abstract
The author performed 27 laparotomy for chronic inflammation of the uterine appendages. On the basis of this material, the author examines in detail the ethiology and pathology of these diseases, the indication for operational intervention in them and the subsequent state of the operated patients. The author did not have any death in the entire 27 laparotomy.
Prof. E. H. Kisch. Zur Lehre von den Tubensäcken. (Berliner klinische Wochenschrift, 1894, no. 7). To the doctrine of pipe bags
Abstract
The author gives an instructive case of death due to the penetration of a purulent tube into the peritoneal cavity. He prefaces a description of his case with a general remark about the diagnosis of accumulations in pipes, the symptoms caused by them, indicated for operational intervention and the lack of certainty in showing the last.
R. Müller und W. von Noorden. Theilweise Symphyseotomie statt Kaiserschnitt. (Berliner klinische Wochenschrift, 1893, no. 48). Partial symphysisotomy instead of Caesar's abdomen
Abstract
The author cites his case of symphysiotomy, which is of interest, firstly, because it was only limited to the cut lig. arcuati sup. and the upper 1/2 symphysis, secondly, because the operation was performed in a private apartment.
Dührssen. Ueber Tubarschwangerschaft und die Behandlung der Blutungen in die Bauchhöhle infolge von Tubarschwangerschaft. (Deutsche med. Wochenschrift., 1894 r., No. 2 and 3). About tubal pregnancy and treatment of bleeding into the abdominal cavity during tubal pregnancy
Abstract
The author insists on the need for abdominal hemorrhage in any case of intra-abdominal bleeding during tubal pregnancy. In cases simulating hemorrhage from the tube (for example, hemorrhage in the intestinal and stomach cavity), the cut of the abdominal walls to the peritoneum makes it possible to ascertain or exclude free blood in the peritoneal cavity, thanks to the education of the peritoneum.
Schauta. lieber die Indikationen, die Technik und die Erfolge der Adnexoperationen. (Deutsche med. Wochenschr., 1894, No. 5, S. 97). On indications, technique and outcomes of operations on the appendages
Abstract
Among 6314 gynecological patients of the author, there were 1130 with inflammatory diseases of the appendages, which is 17.8%. Recognition of these diseases is not easy. The author, by the way, is guided, according to Martin, by thickening of the istmus of the pipe, as a sign of inflammation of the pipe. Recognition of the properties of the contents of the pipe before the operation is almost impossible; anamnestic indications and the nature of the complaints in such cases do not matter.
H. Fritsch. Ventrofixation und Vaginofixation. (Deutsche med. Wochenschr., 1894, No. 1, p. 6)
Abstract
The article contains a whole series of judgments about these two operations. The author is a great supporter of sewing the uterus to the abdominal wall when this organ falls out and its bends posteriorly. In case of loss, it connects this operation with a partial resection of the vaginal wall.
H. Löhlein. Ueber Schwangerschaften im ventrifixirten uterus. (Deutsche med. Wochenschrift, 1894, no. 11, p. 241). Pregnancy in the uterus sewn to the abdominal wall
Abstract
Two cases are described. In the first case, a woman of 30 years old, conception occurred 8 months after the operation (before the operation she gave birth 2 times). In the second case, a woman of 35 years old, the operation was performed during pregnancy, for 2 months. Both pregnancies ended in normal delivery. The course of pregnancies differed in only one feature; in both cases, there was persistent vomiting at 3-4 months of pregnancy.
P. Zweifel. Eine neue Vereinfachung der Stumpfbehandlung bei der Myomektomie. (Centralbl. F. Gynäk., 1894, No. 14, p. 321). New simplification of the way to care for the leg with myomectomy
Abstract
After the usual ligation of broad ligaments from the anterior surface of the tumor, resp. of the uterus, the peritoneal flap is separated, based on the bottom, correspondingly the thickness of the cervix, and at the base of the flap through the thickness of the cervix, catgut ligatures are carried out sagitally and frontally, when tightening which the neck lasts for 3-4 tied areas.
Brohl. Eine Hernia Uteri bei Pseudohermaphroditismus femininus. (Deutsche med. Wochenschr., 1894, No. 15, p. 338). Uterine hernia with false female duality
Abstract
The subject is 36 years old, with a beard and a man's voice, with long hair and a woman's breast, regularly menstruating, has a well-developed penis (length 6.5 cm. far posterior to the entrance to the vagina with the sacred hymen.

Abstract
Speaking generally about this disease, the author describes in detail his case concerning a second pregnant 32 years old, who fell ill with vomiting on the third month of pregnancy. Of the local pathological phenomena in the patient, only erosions of the cervix were found, which were easily cured.
Konikow. Zur Lehre von der Entwickelung des Beckens und seiner geschlechtlichen Differenzirung. (Archiv für Gynaekologie, Bd. XLV, Hft. 1). To the doctrine of the development of the pelvis and its differentiation depending on gender
Abstract
The author makes the first attempt not by speculative, but by an empirical way to solve the controversial issue of which moments determine the shape of the bone pelvis. The systematic external measurements of the pelvis produced by him for this purpose in 120 individuals of both sexes and all ages from one to twenty years, led to the following results.
Krohl. Klinische Beobachtungen über die Einwirkung einzelner Mutterkornpräparate (speciell des Cornutin) auf den Verlauf des Wochenbettes. (Archiv für Gynaekologie, Bd. XLV, Hft. 1). Clinical observation of the effect of some drugs from Secale cornutum, special cornutin, during the maternity period
Abstract
Having made comparative observations on a whole row, in equally favorable conditions, the puerperas, from whom one did not receive anything, the other — ergotin, and the third, finally, —cornutin-Köbert (8 mg. Pro dosi — 2 cg. Pro die), K. could be convinced of the undoubted action of this — the last means — for the earliest possible reverse development of the uterus. Thus, it has been confirmed, already established by other authors, that many of this preparation are included as the only unmistakable component of the uterine horns.
Merz. Zur Behandlung der Uterusruptur. (Archiv für Gynaekologie, Bd. XLV, Hft. 2). To the treatment of uterine rupture
Abstract
From the rich material collected by the author (230 cases over the last 20 years), it is clear: 1) that uterine rupture affects mainly multiparous; 2) that the reasons for the ruptures are very diverse; 3) that the percentage of complete ruptures to incomplete ones is 4: 1; 4) that cases, left without any cure, gave the worst results; 5) that the best results were obtained with the use of drainage and 6) that quite good results (48% recovery) were also obtained with laparotomy.
Wehle. Die Walcher'sche Hängetage und ihre praktische Verwerthung bei geburtshülflichen Operationen. (Archiv für Gynäkologie, Bd. XLV, Hft. 2). Hanging position of Walcher and its application in obstetric operations
Abstract
Walcher's discovery, consisting in the fact that when the legs are hanging, conj. vera in pregnant women is almost a whole centimeter more than with the knees brought to the stomach, found by the author a brilliant practical application during the operations performed at the Dresden obstetric clinic * from October 1892 to June 1893.

On July 20, the patient was admitted to the provincial zemstvo hospital, with the following phenomena: she complains of cramping pains in the lower abdomen, aggravated by movement, bleeding, not strong, but continuing for the second week, frequent urination and constipation at the bottom.
Cases of acquired uterine infection. (Atresia uteri aequisita)
Abstract
Uterine infections usually occupy the inner orifice, owing their origin to some pathological processes leading to adhesive inflammation to the area of the inner mouth; the process consists in the violation of the integrity of the tissue (ulcerative!) with the formation of a scar. Most often this happens after gangrene, after difficult labor, especially with the rough use of obstetric instruments, after which infectious diseases (diphtheria, smallpox, typhus, scarlet fever, measles), from non-rational means of caustic pointed out cases of atresia depending on senile atrophy of the genital organs, (which easily leads to the development of the ulcerative process); finally, some authors (Fritsch, Pozzi) point to one more ethiological moment of atresia — after amputation of the vaginal part.
Seven-day delay of the placenta in the uterine cavity. Recovery
