The dairy sector of Russia - lessons of the history

More than one hundred years history of the dairying in Russia is analyzed. Data on milk production and milk processing in different periods of the life of our country are given. Historical conditions and reasons resulting both in prosperity and downfalls in the development of the branch are shown. Ways to overcome the crisis are outlined.
