Contact problem for two-layer elastic coating of solid cylinder

Bozhkova L.V., Ryabov V.G., Noricina G.I.

Abstract

The paper proposes analytical method of solving the contact problem for a two-layer elastic coating of solid cylinder applicable for circular layers of arbitrary thickness, simultaneously in case of compressible and incompressible materials. The law of contact pressure change is expressed in a form of an infinite series, containing an infinite number of unknown constants that are defined by the decomposition of known function of the built orthogonal functions.

The cause of spontaneous fluctuations

Vyskrebtsov V.G.

Abstract

The paper considers the cause of the oscillation or vibration with different mechanical phenomena and processes, the friction of the two bodies, the movement of bodies in liquids and gases under the condition of steady-state motion (with preservation of average speed of movement). There is shown that this problem can be solved with the help of theory of the so-called ordinary (with one independent variable) equations, being read in the technical colleges.

Steady viscous fluid flow at pipe entrance

Vyskrebtsov V.G.

Abstract

The paper refers to the opinion that the system of Navier-Stokes equations, which is one of the basics in the theory of continuous media and serves as a mathematical model of motion in fluid mechanics, does not describe some practically important movements. In particular, they do not describe the possible torsion of the current lines, i.e. do not describe the torsion of the continuum in small neighborhoods of points. Therefore, it is principally important to identify the degree of conformity of theoretical and experimental data of liquids flows. The flow at the entrance of the tube may be both observable and analytically described movement.

Abstract

On the basis of the equations of the inelasticity effect theory, related to the class of flow theories in the combined hardening, there was received the applied version of the theory of thermo-viscous plastic processes and kinetic equations of damage accumulation for processes of complex isothermal loading. There is also formulated the basic experiment and method of identification of material functions, which finishes the version of theory.

Deformation of a three-layer spherical shell with compressible filler under the influence of acoustic pressure waves

Kogan E.A., Yurchenko A.A.

Abstract

The exact solution of the problem of the dynamic response of a three-layer spherical shell immersed in a fluid under the action of external hydrodynamic pressure is built in the acoustic approximation. The system of differential equations of motion of the shell of the 14th order, taking into account the transverse shear and normal strains and stresses in the core, is integrated by the method of double integral transformations. The authors evaluated the response of envelope for different values of hydrodynamic pressure.

Korol E.Z.

Abstract

There is given a new generic formulation of boundary value problems of the analysis of their own forms of multivariable system on the example of the anisotropic linear elastic (according to Hooke) and small (according to Cauchy) strain of thin circular plates, circular cylindrical and straight conical domes of revolution. The stress-strain state is described by a linear ordinary differential multivariable equations (Linear Ordinary Differential Equations) of higher-order generalized Euler and Bessel types.

Sukhomlinov L.G., Mikhaylova V.L.

Abstract

An incremental rigid-plastic axisymmetric finite element model for the analysis of thick sheet metal forming processes under the action of rigid tools is developed on the basis of a triangular element with the linear law of displacements' distribution. The nonlinear effects due to the changes in sheet geometry and contact states during each incremental step are taken into account. Examples on drawing of thick metal sheets through conical and cylindrical dies are considered.

Study of vibration sensitivity of a rotor of stationary gas-turbine unit on slide bearings to change of main settings of the system

Temis Y.M., Temis M.Y., Egorov A.M.

Abstract

The results of the study of vibration sensitivity of a rotor of stationary gas-turbine unit (GTU) on slide bearings to the change of the main settings of the system are described in the paper. The authors used a beam model of the rotor which takes into account the non-linear stiffness and damping characteristics of an oil film in radial bearings, and a multi-disciplinary model of rotor dynamics including the model of the shaft, rotating discs and radial bearings. Numerical calculations for calculating the orbits of GTU rotor at different operating conditions are performed. The paper also demonstrates the sensitivity of the “rotor-bearing” system to a change of system parameters such as a disbalance of the rotor, constructive damping and viscosity of the oil in bearings.
