Diri M.I., Mikhelkevich V.N.

Abstract

The article discusses developed by the authors competence-modular technology of technical universities teachers` formation of readiness to develop and use innovative educational technologies. As innovative educational technologies are the richest resource for improving the quality of general scientific and vocational training of technical universities` students, the problem of improving university teachers` competence in development and scientifically based use of innovative educational technologies is highly relevant and up to date. It is shown that the most rational form of the educational process in forming teachers' readiness to develop and use innovative educational technologies is the process of their training in advanced training courses in the system of additional education. The modular academic discipline “Innovative activity in the system of higher professional education”, developed and implemented at the 72-hour program at the Samara State Technical University, distributed over 4 months, contains in its structure the following training module “Theoretical and methodological foundations of scientifically based use of innovative educational technologies". The figure given in the article presents this module` structure, consisting of seven training elements, and the corresponding tree of objectives. Each of the training elements in the process of technology implementation is divided into four blocks: targeted, informative, activity, evaluative. Target block reflects the private didactic goal of mastering the module, which is to form a specific component of readiness; content block reflects the content of the training module; activity block contains a set of tasks, in the process of implementation of which the students develop relevant skills and practical skills; evaluation block contains questions/tests for monitoring and self-monitoring of the dynamics and results of readiness formation. Forms of educational process of advanced training courses are lectures and practical classes, individual work.

READING FOR MEANING SKILLS DEVELOPMENT WITH THE USE OF INTERNET-JOKES WHEN STUDYING A SECOND FOREIGN LANGUAGE (THE CASE OF GERMAN)

Erofeev Y.V.

Abstract

Global informatization of society creates objective difficulties of understanding, processing, interpretation and systematization of information. It pressures to search and develop innovative approaches to teaching. In modern educational conditions the problem of teaching the skills of reading for meaning as most important way to acquire knowledge is of particular importance. Second foreign language acquisition is complicated by some habits and algorithms of work with language material enshrined in process of studying of the “first" foreign language, and also underdeveloped skills of reading in a new, different language. The text material offered for development and fixing reading strategies is often a demotivating factor for the students. More specific approach to the organization of lessons and creative selection of material, in particular, using short humorous texts, can effective solve the problem of foreign language reading skills development. The authentic Internet-jokes of which there is an abundance on some entertaining sites on the Internet under vast topical categories can serve as ideal material for development and consolidation of basic and special reading skills. Topical and lexical and grammar criteria are especially important when selecting the jokes as the text should contain some specific sets of lexical units and the grammatical structures relevant to the training subject and the student’s language level. Each and every joke offered in the lesson should be elaborated by the teacher in advance. The most effective working methods with the text are the tasks aimed at its reconstruction - graphical, lexical and grammar and semantic. The tasks are as follows: 1) dividing the text into words and sentences or only into sentences; 2) rearrangement of several lexical units or adding words to grasp the meaning; 3) reconstructing the punch line, 4) reconstructing the text - so called “C-Test”. Internet jokes are always expressive and also represent the accumulated linguocultural picture of the country of the target language, they perform a clear-cut communicative task and are aimed at giving pleasure, thus they don`t cause boredom, but they “force” students to read up the text to the end, to solve the point and guess the meaning, which activates their mental processes. Experimental findings reveal, that Internet-jokes both promote increase of reading literacy and develop linguistic competence, improve general learning skills, cognitive and communicative ability as well and last but not least they also significantly arouse students` motivation.

Kuregyan A.L., Rybalchik O.A.

Abstract

The active process of establishing international relations leads to the expansion of business communication, cultural and information exchange, strengthening of interaction and mutual influence of societies in various spheres of life, including professional. Due to the development of official contacts, joint ventures and private business, the need for specialists in the field of economics, management, finance, information technology, mastering any foreign language, is constantly growing. This article deals with the problem of lexical and grammar skills formation as one of the foreign language competence components of students studying at the Institute of Facultative Education of Samara State Technical University, in the major "Translator in the sphere of professional communication". There’s no doubt that students who wish to receive facultative education under this program often have multi-level training. In this regard, it is very important to conduct an intensive course with students to minimize the difference in the level of language training. This article discusses the use of “Jazz Chants” as a way of forming lexical and grammar skills in order to minimize or equalize the level of foreign language competence at the initial stage in a quite short period of time. Numerous advantages of using chants at foreign language classes are shown, namely, the rapid memorization of lexical units in the context of a particular grammatical structure, the consolidation of pronunciation and listening skills, the creation of less formal environment and it all leads to increased mental activity of students

IMAGE OF A POPULAR RUSSIAN PERFORMER OF CLASSICAL MUSIC IN A MODERN CARICATURE

Bakirova K.S.

Abstract

The article is devoted to the cultural understanding of the existence of the caricature genre in the field of classical art. The subject of the study were caricatures of popular performers of classical music. We used descriptive, historical and comparative, structural and functional methodological approaches. Based on the analysis of the main typological features of the caricatures of classical performing musicians, the author identifies the features inherent in this subgenre and concludes that the parallel existence of mass and elite consciousness in the modern socio-cultural situation leads, on the one hand, to improving the aesthetic status and softening connotative semantic components of the caricature, on the other hand, to the democratization of classical art and its reorientation towards fashion trends and the tastes of the crowd. At the same time, the article postulates the typical typological features of caricatures of modern classical music performers (lack of a politicized focus, gentle character of the image, presence of attributes of classical musical art) and in the context of postmodern determined the dependence of their popularity on the created image that is progressing in brand status.

RUSOPHOBIA AND «RED THREAT» IN THE USA

Buranok S.O., Levin Y.A.

Abstract

The study of Russophobia in the United States is a relevant and promising direction of modern historical science, which has not only academic, but also practical and political importance. Analysis of the history of the birth of this phenomenon, its development, its transformation processes will help to more fully understand its impact on American politics and society both in different historical periods and in the present. Special attention will be paid to the connection of this phenomenon with the foreign policy of the United States, when after the Revolution of 1917, as well as with the outbreak of the Cold War, anti-Russian sentiments in the government and society became an integral part of the official policy. Also noteworthy are the mechanisms for planting similar views in the United States that have gone from the speeches of politicians and ideologues to specific programs and events of the US special services (in particular, the FBI and its director Edgar Hoover). In the world and national historiography, the topic of Russophobia in the United States was studied only in the context of a common confrontation between the two countries in different periods, or as a part of imagological studies of Russian-American relations, never receiving close attention of researchers.

HEMINGWAY AND A NEW KIND OF WAR

Nemcev V.I.

Abstract

In the polemical article of Professor V.I. Nemtsev, the drama of the Nobel Prize in literature by E.M. Hemingway «The Fifth Column» is comprehended. The play shows from inside the work of the secret police of the Republican government of Spain in 1937 - 1939 and become more understandable all subsequent decades of world history. The play reflects, in particular, a new type of war of the XX and XXI centuries, underground. This war has now become an indispensable reality. As well as information technology, known as the «fifth column». This also includes voluntary collaboration, in every possible way contributing to the elimination of those who actively resist the enemy. The statistical picture of the modern world is highly distorted in our time . As an example, the article draws attention to individual Russian novels that show nuclear war the way it is unknown to science and which it cannot be. It is recommended to pay special attention to the fiction and scripts of films and computer games for young people related to military and historical themes, so that the audience receives an objectively truthful product. Entertaining does not mean deliberate introduction of confusion and sense absurdities to young heads. Hemingway's play adequately reflected the prewar historical background of Europe , and to this day it contributes to an accurate understanding of some of the military and political processes of the modern world. In the drama can be found and an indication of a way to get rid of all the wars in the world. All this makes the work of an American writer attractive.

DID OEDIPUS ACTUALLY SOLVE THE RIDDLE OF THE SPHINX?

Pimonov V.I.

Abstract

The article explores and disputes a classical argument that Oedipus fails to solve the riddle of the Sphinx, as the right answer should not point to an abstract man, but to Oedipus himself, as it is he, who undergoes transformation from a baby crawling on four limbs to a young man walking on two legs and finally to an old man hobbling on a cane (his third leg) after he blinds himself. The author argues that in contrast to the enigmatic creature in the riddle, who consecutively moves from being two-legged to four-legged and finally to three-legged (the sequence conveyed by Asclepiades in a canonical formula of the riddle), Oedipus moves in a reverse order: from being a three-legged creature from the start (as a hobbled baby, crippled young male with a walking cane and a blind man with a staff), to a four-legged man later (in «Oedipus at Colonus» he is leaning upon his daughters symbolically playing the role of Oedipus' two crutches) and finally to a two-legged old person - when he is walking without help from other people and without a cane before he dies. The author argues that in the context of the invariant structure, which incorporates «Oedipus Tyrannus» and «Oedipus at Colonus» by Sophocles as inseparable constituents of one and the same plot, the hidden prophecy contained in the riddle of the Sphinx about a creature with a changing number of feet comes to fruition in Oedipus’s life in an inverted form. The author reveals a meta-literary parallel between the numerical inversion and the spatio-temporal one: Oedipus's life is not a straight line from the past to the future, but from the predicted (predetermined) future (patricide and incest) to the past, manifested topographically by the mount Cithaeron where he started his life and where he returns at the end. The author argues that Oedipus' answer to the riddle of the Sphinx also contains a hidden allusion to the Indo-European prototype of the riddle about pregnant animal.

WESTERN SIGNS AND EASTERN HIEROGLYPHS

Shishkin A.E.

Abstract

Subject of study . If in the title of the article the word “Western” is changed to “semantics” and “Eastern” to “hermeneutics”, it turns out that the semantics (of the West) suggests a system of signs that can be both positive and negative, sacral and profane, true and false. And hermeneutics (east) in the interpretation of the hieroglyph expands the immanent boundaries to transcendent in the search for the meaning of life. Transcendental epistemology of the sign and hieroglyph . The existential decoding of the distinction between the East and the West gives a schematic representation of the way to express thoughts. The West separates "one from another", while the East collects "one in another." The image of the matryoshka and the way of modeling a single sound in the Orthodox prayer confirm that Russia is also East. Justification of a single Eastern and Western ancestral homeland . The hypothesis of the ancestral home of the Slavs and the relocation of European regions from the Wislo-Oder, Middle Dnieper or Danube (Danube-Balkan) regions testifies to the conventionality of the change of East and West. The confession of Christianity in the West and the East brings together our cultures into a single global whole. The genesis of the development and dying of culture occurs in the same way both in the West and in the East. As the West is present in the East, so is the East present in the West. Delimitation of East and West . Civilizational faults underlie the contradictions of the East and the West, but not so much in terms of geography as in the spiritual and moral state. And if this message is correct, the preservation of parity in international relations will consist in the choice of society of a dilemma: to remain consumerist and then increase tension or strive for communitarianism in order to accept each other as they are. The colonial ambitions of the West create tension in relations between states and the threat of becoming a satellite country with a loss of sovereignty. In the conclusions we propose to delimit the methodology for the East and the West as two approaches complementary, and at the same time mutually exclusive. This is necessary to respect the principle of humanity and preserve the unique East. The East does not find comfort in the detached indifference of signs. He yearns for measures to approve axiologically accentuated information with the return of the national mentality, social significance and autochthonous ethnicity.

INDICATORS OF FORMATION OF INFORMATIONAL AND ANALYTICAL COMPETENCE OF PHARMACEUTICAL SPECIALISTS IN THE SYSTEM OF PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT

Kiseleva A.A.

Abstract

The purpose of this article was to choose a balanced method of training for the formation of informational and analytical competence in the system of training. We paid attention to the method of blended learning. In this method, the remote part of the training includes the basic unit in order to facilitate the processing of a large amount of information and to consolidate analytical skills. The subsequent parts of training use a synthesis of deepening of the knowledge gained in full-time training and parallel processing of information by structuring, ranking of data from the basic part. During the experimental part of the work , we tried to confirm in practice the optimal method of blended learning. Based on the analysis of the survey of specialists of pharmaceutical profile, we identified what criteria from their point of view will guarantee effective training and the formation of informational and analytical competence. As such indicators, measurable criteria were identified and the three leaders were formed. These criteria were evaluated prior to the use of the blended learning method in the system of advanced training and re-evaluated on the basis of the implementation of this method. Confidence in knowledge has increased by 43%, the amount of assimilation of the information received increased by 20% and the retainment of information over time has also increased by 20%. Thus, the survey participants noted the effectiveness of the method of blended learning in the formation of informational and analytical competence.
