Dairy sector of Russia: results of the activity in 2009
Abstract
Information covering principle indices of the dairy sector activity as a whole and in
the regions of the RF is presented: milk production and processing volumes,
consumption of milk products, prices, import and export. Measures that are
suggested to be adopted and implemented for improving stability in the milk
processing sector of the country are enumerated.

Abstract
The article contains information about fermented milk products «Bifiland» and «Bifilife» and their positive effects on human health. Composition of the concentrate based on the consortium of 5 species of bifidobacteria that is applied in fermented milk products manufacturing with the aim to obtain probiotic characteristics is discussed.

Improvement of milk quality is impossible without deep milk purification
Abstract
Necessity to treat raw milk in a screening separator for improving quality of milk
purification is grounded. Comparing handling of raw milk in a cream separator
with those in a screening separator the author is coming to a conclusion about
insufficient degree of purification in a cream separator.

Abstract
New technologies for reducing bacterial contamination of raw milk materials are
presented. Advantages of membrane sterilization allowing receive milk with 21
days storage life have been enumerated. Two methods of membrane sterilization
were developed: with sterilization of the concentrate received and without
sterilization.

Abstract
New types of equipment intended for milk products filling are shown: complex line for cottage cheese packaging in polyethylene packs-«pillow», high capacity lines for filling in the plastic tare and packs like «Pure-Pak», lines for filling in the «clean» surroundings.

Abstract
The line for final packaging of yogurt that includes automated machines «SetLine» and «Mastercup» from the company OYSTAR A+F is presented. Complex solution for milk products packaging is also offered. The line operates with the display card- board boxes of the «Zipp» type, boxes of the «wrap-around» type and plastic cases.
