DEPENDENCE OF MANIFESTATIONS OF MORPHOLOGICAL SIGNS OF MASCULINIZATION IN SPORTSWOMEN ON THE TYPE OF CONSTITUTION

Mandrikov V.B., Zubareva E.V., Rudaskova E.S., Adelshina G.A., Samuseva V.R.

Abstract

The authors revealed specifics of morphological adaptation of women of different somatotypes to regular physical activity. It was established that female athletes of asthenic and normostenic constitution, regardless of sports specialization, show morphological signs of virilization upon adaptation to regular exercise. At the same time, sportswomen with hyperstenic body build showed no reliable evidence of virilization development. These data suggest that the masculinizing effect of sports on women does not depend so much on the type of sports, but rather on the type of their body build.

Abstract

X-ray diagnostics of patients with temporomandibular joint ostheoarthrosis revealed that changes in TMJ may vary significantly: from partial articular disk dislocation to pronounced deformity of articular surfaces. The extent of lesion has a tendency to increase as more elements of the joint get involved in the process. An analysis of MRI findings from 127 patients with TMJ osteoarthrosis suggests a possibility to define four stages of lesion according to combination of important symptoms.

Abstract

The conducted research showed that the microorganisms of B. cepacia complex are resistant to the phagositic activity of T. pyriformis. The cytotoxic effect of B. cepacia against Tetrahymena cells is manifested in the fact of protozoan incystment. The intensity of this process depends on bacterial strain. Thus the most pronounced incystment was observed upon interaction with the strain of B. cepacia 323, a clinical isolate showing enhanced virulence for experimental animals.
