Russia and WTO: final aspects of joining
Resumo
Final aspects of Russia joining the World Trade Organization are discussed. Foreign trades of our country and of countries-WTO members are compared. Some examples of requirements to Russia as terms of joining WTO, pluses and minuses for us, opinions of the Government people on the topic, as well as the author comments are presented.

Improvement of milk and milk products quality under conditions of technogen tension
Resumo
For lowering heavy metals levels and radionuclides in milk it is recommended to supplement cows feeds with agents possessing sorption, ionexchanging and biologically active characteristics. Aerosil and tetacincalcium have been tested in this connection. Milk received during experiments and osetinskii cheese and butter made from the milk satisfied technological and safety requirements. From the two adsorbents studied only aerosol is recommended.

Filtering elements for milk clarification in the farms

Filtering elements of different structures used for clarifying milk in the farms have been tested. Recommendations how to use the elements with the purpose to increase efficiency of milk clarification from mechanical items and to improve milk quality are given.

Inactivation of the foot-and-mouth disease virus in milk
Resumo
Milk can play an important role in the spread of foot-and-mouth disease (FMD), which, for industrialized countries, is the most devasting disease of livestock. The quantities of virus excreted in milk, the survival of the virus under various management and manufacturing conditions, the minimum doses required to infect susceptible animals and possible mechanisms of transmission of FMD by milk and milk products as well as measures to reduce this risk are reviewed

Quark products with phytocomponents
Resumo
Scientists of the Tihooceanskii State University carried out research work on development of paste milk products with phytocomponents that improve products taste and organoleptic characteristics. As phytocomponents it is recommended to take garlic and dill.

Nontraditional ways of preparing water for powder products solving
Resumo
Solubility of milk powder products in relation with nontraditional methods of water preparing (magnetic and acoustic effects) was studied. Positive dynamics in solubility of the powdered milk products samples has been revealed. Numerous mechanisms of effecting water properties have been mentioned.

Determination of water activity in milk powder
Resumo
During testing of milk powder samples (GOST 10970-87) it was established that water activity was 0,295+0,027. At this meaning growth of bacteria, yeasts and moulds is stopped. The authors of the article advise to measure water activity in milk powder and products with intermediate moisture with aquameter. Known empiric equations couldn't be applied for calculating this characteristic.

Milk containing concentrated product of increased biological value
Resumo
Physical and chemical characteristics of the triticale proteins - kinetics of extracting water soluble substances from triticale grains and water sorption - have been studied. Data received in the process of investigation can be applied in development of technologies for milk products based on triticale. It helps to widen varieties of products fortified with essential micronutrients.
