OVARIAN APOPLEXY AND ITS IMPACT ON REPRODUCTIVE HEALTH
Abstract
We analyzed the modern patterns of rehabilitation and comprehensive system of repairing the reproductive function in ovarian apoplexy. We demonstrated that the evaluation of long-term treatment outcomes as well as the quality of life of patients with ovarian apoplexy who had undergone surgery for that was crucial when choosing a way of treatment. The solution of these problems will enable the women to preserve their reproductive function which is a major concern of surgeons facing the problem of acute abdomen in the gynecological practice.

Abstract
Pathomorphological changes in the hippocampus in middle-aged males were analyzed. Postmortem examination showed that all the dead had a pathology of brain vessels. Early atherosclerotic changes were found in the basilar and middle cerebral arteries. During a microscopic examination marked structural features of neuronal damage in the pyramidal layer in CA1 and CA3 areas were revealed.

OUTCOMES OF THE COMPREHENSIVE STUDY OF RISK FACTORS AFFECTING THE WOMAN’S DECISION NOT TO KEEP HER NEW-BORN IN TERMS OF PSYCHOLOGICAL COMPONENT OF GESTATION DOMINANT VARIANT
Abstract
The article presented the outcomes of a comprehensive study of risk factors of the decision of mothers exhibiting one of the psychological components of gestation dominant not to keep their babies. A clear correlation between the variants of psychological component of gestational dominant and women' intentions not to keep their newborn was made. The hypogestognosic type of psychological component of gestational dominant was found to indicate the decision not to keep their baby. The most significant risk factors influencing the development of hypogestognosic options were identified. Potential applications of the revealed risk factors within the author's model of medicosocial work were considered to prevent mothers from not keeping their babies.

PHARMACOEPIDEMIOLOGICAL STUDY OF THE ANTIBIOTIC ADMINISTRATION IN PATIENTS WITH PURULENT-SEPTIC COMPLICATIONS OF DIABETES MELLITUS TYPE 2
Abstract
Patients with purulent-septic complications of diabetes mellitus type 2 develop more aggressive and long-term surgical infections. This makes them stay longer in hospital and increases the cost of treatment. Antibiotic therapy optimization based on the detection of microflora and antibiotic sensitivity is crucial when choosing the appropriate antibiotic treatment regimen. We established that inadequate initial antibiotic therapy is an independent risk factor of the lethal outcome in patients with sepsis.

NORMAL RANGE OF FETAL LATERAL VENTRICLE WIDTH IN THE SECOND TRIMESTER OF PREGNANCY
Abstract
Fetal brain was retrospectively evaluated in normal fetuses at 18-27 weeks of gestation. The multiplanar mode was used to evaluate the axial transthalamic plane. The width of the lateral ventricles was found to be increasing during the second semester. The elaborated normal reference range of fetal width of lateral ventricles can be used for evaluating fetal brain development when performing an ultrasound examination of the fetus in the second trimester of pregnancy.

INFLUENCE OF ORTOKERATOLOGICAL CONTACT LENSES ON MORPHOFUNCTIONAL PROPERTIES OF THE CORNEA IN MYOPIC CHILDREN AND ADOLESCENTS ON THE BASIS OF THE FINDINGS OF CONFOCAL MICROSCOPY
Abstract
Confocal microscopy was performed to evaluate the initial state of cornea in 28 myopic patients (56 eyes). Measurements were repeated when orthokeratological contact lenses were used. TYPOLOGICAL FEATURES OF INTELLECT AND BIOELECTRICAL ACTIVITY OF THE BRAIN IN PERSONS WITH DIFFERENT CHRONOTYPE
Abstract
This article demonstrated that inner emotional intelligence is on average 16,8 % higher in people with poorly expressed evening chronotype than that in the group with arythmic chronotype. Moreover, the index of high-frequency beta-rhythm in the occipital leads is 45,7 % higher in the group with arythmic chronotype as compared with group with poorly expressed evening chronotype. Delta-rhythm in occipital leads is 44,4 % less pronounced, teta-rhythm in the central leads is 37,7 % more pronounced, low-frequency beta-rhythm amplitude in occipital leads is 73,7 % less marked and low-frequency beta-rhythm in the frontal leads is 69,2 % less marked in the group with poorly expressed evening chronotype as compared with the group of clearly expressed evening chronotype.

IN VITRO АNTIAGGREGATЮN ACTIVITY OF NOVEL BENZIMIDAZOLE DERIVATIVES
Abstract
In vitro antiaggregation activity of 16 novel condensed derivatives of benzimidazole was studied in the experimental model of ADP-induced platelet aggregation in rabbit plasma. Acetylsalicylic acid (ASA) and ticlid were used as comparator drugs. DAB-13, DAB-14 and DAB-15 compounds showed a dose-dependent inhibitory effect on platelet aggregation in rabbit plasma in vitro. Anti-platelet aggregation activity of DAB-13, DAB-14 and DAB-15 compounds was found to be several times higher than that of ASA, and was slightly superior to anti-platelet aggregation activity of ticlid. The acute toxicity of LD 50 DAB-13, DAB-14 and DAB-15 compounds was measured.

APPLICATION OF A 3D-IMENSIAL APPROACH TO PLACING DENTAL IMPLANTS
Abstract
The study comparing the placement of dental implants using a conventional implant insertion technique and dental navigation system was carried out. The article presents data on angular deviation of the axes of the implants. Placing dental implants using the conventional implant insertion technique results in significant angular deviation between the axes of the implants. The minimal angular deviation between the axes of the implants was measured for dental navigation system. It was shown that the application of dental navigation system reduces the impact of human factors on the outcomes of implants.

PULMONARY GAS EXCHANGE IN METABOLIC SYNDROME
Abstract
To study arterial carbon dioxide pressure in metabolic syndrome 60 patients were investigated (36 females and 24 males). Hypocapnia was revealed in 73% of patients, the influence of hypocapnia on quality of life were estimated. The presence of diabetes mellitus type 2 and long-standing arterial hypertension influence on disturbances in pulmonary gas exchange. The hypocapnia was correlated with presence of stable stenocardia in females. The possibility of capnography in screening diagnostics of sleep disordered breathing was showed.
