Abstract

Basic therapy of fluticasone propionate (100 mcg/day) for children 3-6 years old with mild to moderate persistent asthma can control symptoms for a long time and maintain a low airway resistance during the treatment period. Montelukast step down therapy is less effective than fluticasone propionate in 50 % of patients, but more effective than sodium chromoglycate therapy

WOUND HEALING AND BLOOD FLOW IN RATS WITH DIABETES DURING BLOCKADE OF INDUCIBLE AND CONSTITUTIVE NO-SYNTHASE

Slietsans A.A., Lomkina E.M., Tyurenkov I.N.

Abstract

The article shows the role of NO-system in the mechanisms of wound healing in diabetes. Blockade of endothelial nitric oxide synthase - eNOs (with L-NAME) in diabetes reduces local blood flow in the wound, and slows down wound healing. The blockade of inducible nitric oxide synthase - iNOs (aminoguanidine) accelerates wound repair.

Polyantsev A.A., Bosko O.Y., Karpenko S.N., A. A. Polyntsev J.A., Gavrilova I.S.

Abstract

A significant increase in specificity and severity of associated traumas is evidenced nowadays. One of the most common complications in associated trauma is the syndrome of acute gastric and duodenal ulcers. To establish the rate of this lesion development in gastro-duodenal mucosa in patients with associated trauma in various periods of traumatic disease as well as treatment outcomes improvements, a prospective analysis of 135 patients has been carried out. Early diagnostics of changes of gastroduodenal mucosa, recurrence to various preventive methods in stressful gastric and duodenal injuries favours a reduction in complications of trauma.

EATING BEHAVIOR IN TELEUT POPULATION IN KUZBASS (PSYCOLOGICAL AND HYGIENIC ASPECTS)

Khvostova O.I., Kalashnikova T.V., Lobykina E.N.

Abstract

This study investigates the mode of eating behavior, its psychological and hygienic aspects, in teleut population residing in Kuzbass region. Emotiogenous eating behavior disorders in teleuts were found to account for 20,1 % of cases, and external disorders were detected in 11,3 % of cases. There has been a strong evidence of an increased rate of anxiety and depression disorders related to emotional type of behavior, 9,8 and 10,6 %, respectively. The dietary habits of Kuzbass teleuts are characterized by consumption of relatively small amounts of meat, milk and fish products, vegetables and fruits, but an excessive intake of potato, bakery and macaroni foods. A greater consumption of meat and milk foods, confectionary and fruits is considered to provide adequate nutritional regimens. We have elaborated treatment-and-rehabilitation programs with consideration to the identified substantial changes in diet composition and eating behavior, as well as psychological specifications of teleuts. Dietary guidelines have also been recommended that can help them to optimize their dietary habits and provide better health-related behaviors.

COMPARISON OF BIOFEEDBACK METHODS WITH STANDARDIZED CRITERIA

Doletskiy A.N., Ismail-zade I.K.

Abstract

The possibility of a universal biofeedback algorithm effectiveness was evaluated. It was established that a variable rate of deviation from baseline characteristic allows a standardization evaluation of the biofeedback effectiveness. The most reasonable statistical estimate of the severity of deviations is a system taking into account mean values and standard deviation (variability) controlled rate before training with biofeedback. The development of respiratory control skills permits an effective modification of adjustable parameters in training with biofeedback.

NEUROPHYSIOLOGICAL MECHANISMS OF RELAXATION

Doletskiy A.N., Akhundova R.E., Khvastunova I.V., Migulina A.A.

Abstract

Cerebral activity and infraslow activity in the nervous, respiratory and circulatory systems during biofeedback of cerebral hemodynamic parameters and meditation were studied. Infraslow nervous and cardiovascular activity was registered within a range between 0,07 and 1 Hz. Each EEG record was filtrated in the alpha 1-3, beta and theta bands. The inverse EEG problem was solved by localizing the sources of brain activity in filtering ranges (BrainLoc v.6.0 was used). We revealed an involvement of different brain structures in the implementation of behavioral strategies in different types of groups trained to self-government, suggesting different mechanisms to achieve the final result. The results suggest that the mechanism of biofeedback including synchronization of the respiratory rate, brain activity, heart rate and vascular tone frequencies. This resulted in an increased activity in the involved resonant response structures (thalamic pacemaker structures, vasomotor nuclei and respiratory centers).

DEVELOPMENT OF QUANTITATIVE METHOD OF FLAVONOIDDETERMINATION IN INULA BRITANNICA HERB

Yanitskaya A.V., Mitrofanova I.Y.

Abstract

Different extraction methods were analyzed. Extraction with ethanol gradual alternation was chosen as more optimal. A technique of quantifying the flavonoids equivalent to luteolin in Inula britannica herb was suggested. It allows a determination of the flavonoid quantitative order in the presence of other compounds; it does not require any expensive equipment, and it is simple in use. The flavonoid content in Inula britannica herb, which grows in the Volgograd region, was (0,94 ± 0,003) %. Validation proved that the proposed technique can be used for quality control of studied herbal raw material.
